Named for discoverer, Hans von Tuerckheimii, canna 'tuerckheimii' is a large species variety with small, vermillion-to-red flowers.
Its enormous, bright green leaves are rounded in shape and among the largest of all canna leaves -- some reaching up to 2ft in length.
Often used for privacy screen and wind breaks, as this variety can reach 9-10ft in height in climates with long growing seasons.
Fun Fact: despite its huge size, it produces one of the smallest seeds.
